ESA’s contest to challenge your imagination
ESA is the European Space Agency, composed of 22 Member States.
Its mission is to develop space missions and to carry them out.
The objective of these top-class programmes is to learn more about Earth, its near-spatial environment, our Solar System and the Universe. Our missions also help to conceive state-of-the-art technologies and satellite services, as well as promoting European industry.
So that space discoveries benefit the whole of humankind, ESA works in cooperation with other space organisations beyond Europe. ESA also wants to share the knowledge of space and its everyday applications with everyone and invite you to share in the conversation. That’s why ESA initiated the My Space Dream contest: to hear your dreams and expectations of European space programmes so we can work on them every day.
ESA today: road to the Space19+ Ministerial meeting
Every four years, the European ministers in charge of the space policy of their respective countries meet. During these ministerial meetings, ESA presents its programme for the years to come, and the big decisions concerning the future of space in Europe are made.
The next ministerial meeting will take place in November 2019 in Seville, Spain, under the name of Space19+.
